Surf Academy Seapoint Surf Camps (Through August 24th)
Description: During the week, half and full-day Surf Camps are offered for kids ages eight to 17. Additionally, Surf Academy has a program for creative, adventurous children between the ages of five and seven. The "Beach Kids" program includes surfing, body boarding, body surfing, beach games, arts and crafts and surf-story time. On Friday of each week, parents are invited to enjoy an Aloha Day Luau and proudly watch their kids surf.

Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament (Every Wed. in August)
Description: This high-tech Las Vegas style approach pits fans against other players via Centerfield’s own NTN Poker video terminals. There are weekly winners, with the grand prize winner (the player with the most weekly wins) receiving a trophy, and a complimentary one-week stay in Las Vegas. Interested players need to sign up at 7:00 PM. The first hand is dealt at 8:00 PM.

Adventure Playground (Through August 18th)

Description: Fun for the whole family! The Orange County Fair, just minutes from Huntington Beach in Costa Mesa, offers concerts, live animals, rides, great food, performing arts and art exhibits. Breakfast at the Huntington Harbour Yacht Club
Description: This monthly breakfast is designed to introduce O.C. residents to the Huntington Harbour Yacht Club. Come and meet our commodore, staff officers and members. A nice buffet style breakfast is served at the low cost of $8. Boat ownership is not required for membership! Surf City Locals Night (Every Tuesday Through August)
Description: The Downtown H.B. Business Association and the H.B. Restaurant Association jointly host Surf City Locals Night, an event designed to invite the residents of H.B. to experience the wonderful restaurants and shopping opportunities available in the new, revitalized downtown. Three whole blocks of Main Street are blockaded for this weekly event with a farmer’s market, street venders, face painting, musicians, & various entertainers.

Local Art Exhibition (Open on Wed. & Sat. Through Aug. 29th)
Description: Featured works by local artist Josh Serafin are now open to the public for limited viewing. The H.B. resident's oil paintings are generally of surfers, pelicans, seagulls and more, along the backdrop of the Pacific Ocean. Although the artist has hosted many art release parties, never before has the public been invited to view his original artwork. Don't miss this chance to observe these beautiful works that exhibit the true spirit of Surf City.

Longboards and Soccer Classic (August 11th & 12th)
Description: Come play competitive soccer with the beautiful backdrop of HB. The sand soccer tournament is for persons 18 years and older with teams of 7 and 20 minute halves. It is highly recommended that a team has a complete roster of 18. Cash prizes will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place.

53rd Annual Distance Derby
Description: This running event is Orange County's longest running race event run on paved roads, flat oceanfront course that starts and finishes at the Huntington Beach Pier Plaza Amphitheater. Time: 6:00 AM registration.

Plum Festival At Old World Village
Description: Bouncy House for kids, band, dancing, food, fun. Plum Cake (PflaumenKuchen) is a specialty cake that comes only in the middle in August. In an Old World tradition, Miss Elly who lived to the age of 103, had a recipe that each year is used to celebrate a time-honored German tradition, right here in Huntington Beach. Dachshund Races At Old World Village
Description: Dozens of dachshunds will scramble in pursuit of fame and imaginative lures as hundreds of spectators cheer them on. Some of the dogs will have trained for minutes with a team of two handlers each, who encourage, cajole and plead with the willful little dogs to focus on the high-stakes race instead of interesting sights, sounds and smells along the route.
