Surf Academy Seapoint Surf Camps (Through August 24th)
Description: During the week, half and full-day Surf Camps are offered for kids ages eight to 17. Additionally, Surf Academy has a program for creative, adventurous children between the ages of five and seven. The "Beach Kids" program includes surfing, body boarding, body surfing, beach games, arts and crafts and surf-story time. On Friday of each week, parents are invited to enjoy an Aloha Day Luau and proudly watch their kids surf.

Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament (Every Wed. in August)
Description: This high-tech Las Vegas style approach pits fans against other players via Centerfield’s own NTN Poker video terminals. There are weekly winners, with the grand prize winner (the player with the most weekly wins) receiving a trophy, and a complimentary one-week stay in Las Vegas. Surf City Locals Night (Every Tuesday Through August)
Description: The Downtown H.B. Business Association and the H.B. Restaurant Association jointly host Surf City Locals Night, an event designed to invite the residents of H.B. to experience the wonderful restaurants and shopping opportunities available in the new, revitalized downtown. Three whole blocks of Main Street are blockaded for this weekly event with a farmer’s market, street venders, face painting, musicians, & various entertainers.

Local Art Exhibition (Open on Wed. & Sat. Through Aug. 29th)
Description: Featured works by local artist Josh Serafin are now open to the public for limited viewing. The H.B. resident's oil paintings are generally of surfers, pelicans, seagulls and more, along the backdrop of the Pacific Ocean. Although the artist has hosted many art release parties, never before has the public been invited to view his original artwork. 103rd Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade
Description: Considered to be the largest Independence Day parade west of the Mississippi, featuring more than 300 entries including bands, floats, celebrities, local dignitaries, equestrians and community groups. The parade heads south to Main Street, proceeds up Main through the downtown area, ending at Yorktown Avenue and Main Street. Parking: Pacific Coast Highway between Beach Blvd. and Goldenwest Street will be closed from 5:00 AM. to 11:00 AM, Main Street, which will close at 5:00 AM. will reopen (other than the first 3 blocks) approximately 1:00 PM or when the parade route is cleared. Parade viewers can enter the downtown area off Goldenwest Street on Orange or Palm Avenues. The Main Street Parking Structure located at Lake Street between Walnut and Olive Avenues or Plaza Almeria Parking at Orange & Main Street. "Staking out": an area for viewing is allowed after 7:00 AM on July 3rd. Items must be removed by 2:00 PM on July 4th.

Description: Kick off the 4th of July with the Surf City Run annually one of the top 5K runs in Southern California join over 3000 of your fellow runners, friends and neighbors celebrate the 4th as only Southern California can. As always, this is a free event for beach goers.

HB Pro/Am Surf Series Surfing Competition
Description: The Huntington Beach Surf Series will include the following: Saturday will be all amateur divisions- Boy’s, JR’s, Men’s, Super Men’s, Grom’s, Master’s, Longboard’s, Women’s. On Sunday, the Pro division will be held. This event is owned and operated by world class surf champion, Jeff Deffenbaugh and his brother Barry. German-American Heritage Day & Dachshund Races
Description: Live bands, dance groups, German beer, bratwurst, chicken bouncy house, carnival games, face painting fun for the whole family, plus dozens of dachshunds will scramble in pursuit of fame and imaginative lures as hundreds of spectators cheer them on. Some of the dogs will have trained for minutes with a team of two handlers each, who encourage, cajole and plead with the willful little dogs to focus on the high-stakes race instead of interesting sights, sounds and smells along the route.

103rd Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade
(Starting Time: 10:00 AM)
Description: Considered to be the largest Independence Day parade west of the Mississippi, featuring more than 300 entries including bands, floats, celebrities, local dignitaries, equestrians and community groups. The parade heads south to Main Street, proceeds up Main through the downtown area, ending at Yorktown Avenue and Main Street. Parking: Pacific Coast Highway between Beach Blvd. and Goldenwest Street will be closed from 5:00 to 11:00 AM. Main Street, which will close at 5:00 AM, will reopen (other than the first 3 blocks) at approximately 1:00 PM, or when the parade route is cleared. Parade viewers can enter the downtown area off Goldenwest Street on Orange or Palm Avenues. The Main Street Parking Structure located at Lake Street between Walnut and Olive Avenues or Plaza Almeria Parking at Orange & Main Street. "Staking out": an area for viewing is allowed after 7:00 AM on July 3rd. Items must be removed by 2:00 PM on July 4th.

Fireworks Extravaganza
Description: After the sun sets, thousands of fireworks, synchronized to music will be launched from the Huntington Beach Pier. The safe and exciting professional display will amaze visitors of all ages. Bring food, a warm blanket, beach chairs and relax under the stars on the beach. As always, this is a free event for beach goers. Grandstand seating will be available on the HB Pier for a modest fee of $10. It is advised those interested in viewing the fireworks arrive between 5:00 and 6:00 PM.
