The 13th Annual Weiner National Dachshund Races

Description: Dozens of dachshunds will scramble in pursuit of fame and imaginative lures as hundreds of spectators cheer them on. Some of the dogs will have trained for minutes with a team of two handlers each who encourage, cajole and plead with the willful little dogs to focus on the high-stakes race instead of interesting sights, sounds and smells along the route.

Centered On The Center

Description: Artists of all levels are invited to partake in Centered on the Center, an annual group exhibition. This non-juried, salon-style exhibition attracts nearly 200 artists with 400 works in a variety of media including paintings, installations and video. Come check it out or participate! Artwork needs to be delivered by Friday, January 4, 2008. Artwork is accepted until the galleries, the store and other public places at the Art Center are full. Event Cost: A participation fee of $15 for one submission and $25 for two submissions is required.
